Overview
The Rio Aripuanã is one of the Amazon’s most diverse fishing destinations — a preserved southern tributary where the species list runs deep. Payara are the signature target, with peak fishing in August and early September, alongside peacock bass, piraíba and redtail catfish, bicuda, black piranha, pacu, and a dozen other species. Six guided days out of PiraAcu Lodge, a private-cabana operation with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, and a central dining area. Charter flights from Manaus are included. Two distinct seasons give this trip the flexibility to fit different travel schedules.
