Overview
The Spiral Slam puts four of Africa’s most distinctive spiral-horned antelope on the target list: Greater Kudu, Eland, Nyala, and Bushbuck. Ten nights in the Eastern Cape with Hunters Prey Safaris gives you the time to pursue each species properly — Kudu in the thicket, Eland across open ground, Nyala in riverine cover, and Bushbuck in the koppies and dense brush. These are not easy animals to hunt well, particularly Nyala and Bushbuck, which require patience and precise shot placement in difficult terrain. Professional Hunter Robbie Brunsdon and his crew manage this concession with a thorough knowledge of where each species holds and how to hunt them in this country.

THE EXPERIENCE
Itinerary
Arrive at camp, settle into lodge, sight in rifles, and walk the property with Robbie to understand the terrain for each spiral species.
Hunt Greater Kudu in the Eastern Cape thicket, glassing from vantage points and executing careful stalks on trophy bulls.
Pursue Eland across the larger open sections of the concession, covering ground and closing the distance on the biggest antelope in Africa.
Hunt Nyala in riverine and dense bush habitat, then target Bushbuck in the koppies and broken terrain where they hold.
Final hunting days to complete the Slam, trophy preparation, and transfer for departure.
Best Time to Go
April – September (dry season; vegetation opens up thicket and riverine cover, making Kudu, Nyala, and Bushbuck significantly more accessible)
